As you might have noticed, you can make purchases on Google Play Store. But what if you want to refund a purchase? There are two ways to refund your purchase from Google Play Store – Using Purchase history and from Google Play Listing. Here is how you can refund your purchase from Google Play Store:
Using Purchase History:
Step 1: Open the Google Play app on the smartphone.
Step 2: Tap on the three-dot button from the top left corner.
Step 3: Tap to ‘Accounts’ and scroll side-wise until you reach Purchase History.
Step 4: At the purchase history section, scroll down and look for the app you want a refund for.
Step 5: Tap on the app and hit the Refund button.
Step 6: Tap on Yes when asked.
Step 7: Once done, the app will automatically get uninstalled and the amount will be refunded to the same account, which was used at the time of making the payment.
For taking a refund from the Google Play Listing, you need to simply tap on the Recents option and look for the purchased apps. Hit the refund button post uninstalling the app from the smartphone.
Note: You can only take a refund for up to two days after purchasing the app. In case it has been more than that, you might need to contact the app developer asking for a refund.
