You may have noticed that as soon as you open the YouTube app, it shows a number of random video recommendations. This is irrespective of the fact that the particular user has never searched for such videos. YouTube has a feature that allows users to get more control over their homepage and videos that will be shown next. This feature also helps users see more personalized recommendations based on their preferences. Here are the steps you need to follow to use this feature.
Step 1: Open YouTube app and scroll to the recommendation video you don’t want to see.
Step 2: Tap on the three dots next to the video.
Step 3: Here choose the option ‘Don’t recommend channel.’
Step 4: A popup will appear at the top stating “We won’t recommend videos from this channel to you again.’
Step 5: Here you can also undo the change by tapping on the ‘Undo’ button. Hitting the ‘More info button will redirect you to the Google support page.
Step 1: Head to the YouTube app and scroll to the video you don’t want to see.
Step 2: Tap on the three-dots place on the right side of the video.
Step 3: Select ‘Not Interested.’
Step 4: A popup will appear stating ‘Video removed’ and two other options – ‘Tell us why’ and ‘Undo.’
Step 5: Hit ‘Tell us why’ button and choose the option ‘I’ve already watched,’ or ‘I don’t like the video.’
