Microsoft is planning to improve your Windows 10 experience. The company revealed that it is testing a new cloud download feature. The feature will reset Windows 10 when hardware fails or the OS needs reinstalling. The feature isn’t available for public testing yet but in future, it will appear on devices when you boot a machine in a failed state.
This feature will be similar to the way Apple handles macOS reinstalls, with the option to reinstall macOS by downloading a copy from the cloud. Microsoft appears to be addressing many different ways users can recover from issues on multiple laptops. Microsoft is hoping to provide an easy method for anyone to use Windows 10.
This feature is likely be the key for Microsoft Windows Lite and Windows Core OS (WCOS). Microsoft will also need to ensure it has the full support of OEMs and all important drivers.
