Apple’s event for 2019 has wrapped up. As expected, it had a host of exciting announcements. Of course, iPhone 11 was announced and some details regarding Apple TV were released, but here are some of the biggest announcements from the event:
iPhone 11: The iPhone 11 is the successor for iPhone XR. The phone features a 6.1-inch LCD display and Apple’s new A13 Bionic processor and GPU. It will be priced at $699, which is $50 less than the price of iPhone XR debuted at last year. The phone has a dual-camera system and will have a new feature called slow-mo selfies videos or “slofies” as Apple is calling them.
iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max: iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max are the new phones that will accompany iPhone 11. Both phones will have a three-camera system. It will also feature telephoto, ultra-wide, and regular lenses. Apple claimed that each of the three cameras are capable of shooting in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second. According to an onstage demo, the upcoming software can also record different subjects through each lens.
Apple TV Plus: The company’s original streaming service, Apple TV Plus will launch on November 1st. Apple also announced that it will cost $4.99 per month. This price is two dollars less than the monthly cost of Disney+. Apple will also provide a year-long subscription to Apple TV Plus for free if you buy a new Apple product, including new iPads, iPhones, laptops, or desktops.
New iPad: Apple announced an update for its budget iPad, the new seventh-generation model that is 10.2 inches, moving up from the standard 9.7-inch display size. The model starts at the same price $329. The model has an A10 Bionic processor and a smart connector as well.
Apple Watch Series 5: Although the new Apple Watch Series 5 doesn’t look much different than last year’s model, but it has a few new features. It’s the first Apple Watch to support the always-on display function. It has the same 18-hour battery life as the Series 4. The Series 5 costs $399 for the GPS model and $499 for the GPS + LTE model, so they’re the same prices as Series 4.
